BVWD NPDES Permit – The Facts

Wednesday, November 18th, 2009

This is the presentation made by BVWD General Manager Julio Guerra during the Public Meeting held in Bear Valley on Novenber 16, 2009. It is an excellent presentation of facts that is long overdue. Read the charts carefully and I believe you’ll conclude that much of what has been alledged in the past is simply not true. Please read it carefully by clicking on the link and then share your comments with us. By the way, NPDES is the acronym for National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) permit program.

                                        Kudos to Julio!

I want to thank all of you that supported my election, and I give you my pledge that I will do my best on behalf of the rate payers to determine the most cost effective solutions for the problems we face in the BVWD.

I know I can count on you to help. We are blessed in our Bear Valley community with property owners that possess a wonderfully wide range of talents and skills. If we work together and share these talents toward solving mutual problems, we can all benefit and our community will thrive.

I will be contacting many of you for this help. I plan to develop a skills and qualifications inventory that can be applied to help us. Your contribution of these talents on a pro bono basis will assure expert advise, counsel, and solutions at minimum cost. Your contribution will be invaluable. Please contact me to share what talents you will be willing to share to make Bear Valley an even better place to live.

Thank you again for your support. With your help we will solve the problems we’ve had in the Bear Valley Water District.
